cogs without wheels (apparently)

Yesterday's public revelation that the careerone client database had been exposed on the internet highlighted to me the issue of sales and recruitment personnel training.

LinkedIn stats for Australia

quick pulse taking on LinkedIn

- just under 65k users
- just under 60 jobs posted by Australian recruiters/employers
- Australia is in the top 5 fastest growing networks (@ 500 new registrations per day)

Managing your reputation online

These days, candidate references checks include finding about their presence online (viewing what they've written on their myspace site, for example). Similarly, service providers including recruiters such as your good selves are also being put to a similar type of web-based scrutiny. Googling candidates

AIRS is a US based outfit which is pretty heavy on online sourcing training to recruitment professionals. I just received a mailer from them advising of the latest practice-specific courses for candidate searching using Google.
