I wanted to know if you had ever filled a role pro-bono. what prompted you to work on an assignment:

- being identified with a cause/charity/organisation?
- the expectation of non-monetary benefits? e.g. being associated to a reputable brand?
- the expectation that there would be fees for other assignments down the track?

Yes I have done 2 jobs pro bono,

One was a young guy who is an absolute champion, that needed a break to become a fully fledged BDM. I marketed him to a few organisations, and ended up placing him within a prominent investment bank via a friend. The other was my daughter, who I presented to an existing client, but didn't feel right charging them.
